Stroke: Early Signs and Immediate Action

A stroke occurs when the blood supply to part of the brain is interrupted or reduced, depriving brain tissue of oxygen. Prompt treatment is crucial. Every minute counts—early action can minimize brain damage and improve recovery.

Types of Stroke

  • Ischemic Stroke – caused by a blockage in an artery

  • Hemorrhagic Stroke – caused by a burst blood vessel

  • Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) – a mini-stroke that serves as a warning sign
